A BIGGER PICTURE

Dear LOML,

What if our relationship and eventual marriage are meant to fulfill a purpose? I am wondering now, what if we are supposed to help each other achieve something? I am finding it hard to gather my thoughts but come to think of it, if I believe life on earth is to fulfill a purpose, then the people we meet and relationships must definitely contribute to that purpose.

That takes me back to Eden, the woman was made as a helpmeet to help the man fulfill a purpose and the man to help her fulfill hers.

Irrespective of how you think about this, both parties are in a collaboration to fulfill a purpose.

I believe it is not just about the hugs, cuddles, and kisses or just about making babies, wearing matching clothes, and being called Mr. and Mrs. But to help each other achieve a higher purpose.

Imagine living your whole adult life married to someone without a sense of direction and meaning?🤔 Or being with someone and not knowing where you both are heading to?🤔. That would be like Columbus who set sail to the new world without knowing where he was going, got to a place without knowing where he was, and got back without knowing where he had been 🤔. Have you ever thought about that?

I believe we’ll meet to help each other get towards that purpose, but until then, we have to seek and pursue this purpose individually. I’ll be glad and happy to help you pursue yours while you help me pursue mine.

I don’t believe we were made just to exist ( as Ravi puts it, we are not just an automaton of reflexes or a random collocation of atoms)

I need you to sit back and reflect, are you pursuing purpose?
Think through these questions:

Who am I ? (Identity)
Where do I come from? (Origin)
What can I do? ( capacity)
Where am I going? ( Destiny)

Found any answers to these ? Don’t worry if you haven’t, this is a wake-up call to start finding answers (we are all seeking in one way or the other.)

I cannot help you pursue a purpose you have not discovered. That is why I am drawing your attention to it early enough. In case you have already, then it’s time to reflect on how effective you have been in the pursuit of this purpose.

I will be praying for you even though I have no idea who you are or how you look like and I hope you do the same for me.
